Loading… is a Canadian game studies journal, with currently one issue (Vol. 1, No. 1, 2007) out. It is an open access journal, promoting Canadian game studies, but I suppose they might consider also non-Canadian submissions. See:

Convergence Journal

Journal of Game Development

Charles River Media established the Journal of Game Development (JOGD) in 2005 (if my memory serves me correctly), and currently there are three volumes available to subscribers — but you can access the article abstracts online. JOGD is technically oriented and serves particularly computer science and technical designer parts of the game studies community. See:

Games and Culture Journal

SAGE established its Games and Culture journal in January 2006. While not an open access journal (like Game Studies), it is still possible to access at least a sample issue from the journal website. There are actually two sites, one maintained by the publisher, one by the editors. See:

Game Studies Journal

The key journal of the field, established in July 2001, Game Studies has published several important articles and has collected some of the leading scholars in its editorial board. Currently seems not to be appearing at the same frequency as before, but lets hope there will be fresh life waiting in its future. URL:
