International Simulation and Gaming Association — ISAGA — is focused on the use of simulation and gaming, particularly from educational perspectives. ISAGA has organised an annual conference since 1970, making it the longest existing forum for academic discussion related to gaming. See:

IGDA has local chapters that provide valuable contacts for those students who are aiming to direct their studies towards career in game industry.
